Vertical format, made for door jambs, narrow pillars and slim strips of wall. Mounted on 4 exposed standoffs, it seems to float.

The rust patina works as a dark background, the letters let the light through. Elegant, sturdy, one of a kind.

• Rectangular panel in 2 mm CorTen steel — as it oxidises it develops a natural rust patina
• Text and motif cut by laser — the wall shows through the cuts
• A band of stylised palm leaves above and below the text
• Large line in a high-contrast serif, elegant and editorial

ABOUT THE MATERIAL — CORTEN STEEL

CorTen is a special steel that develops a surface oxide layer. The patina shifts from the initial grey-orange to a warm brown over a few weeks, depending on exposure to moisture.

Pieces made in CorTen steel go on changing in appearance over time. The rust finish can vary in tone, intensity and evenness according to weather exposure and surroundings.

During the first phase of oxidation, and until the protective patina has fully settled, the material may release rust residue or leave marks on surfaces it touches (paving, walls, fabrics and so on). Avoid direct contact with delicate or absorbent surfaces during this period.

Every piece is unique in how it looks and in how its patina develops.

PRODUCTION TIMES

Each piece is made to order within 1-2 working days. If you would like to receive it already oxidised, allow 1 to 2 weeks for the rust to form.
