PERSONALISED CORTEN STEEL OVAL PLAQUE

Your house or street name and house number, LASER cut through an oval plate of CorTen steel. The letters and numbers are cut right through the metal, letting the wall behind show through. Two spacers hold the plaque slightly away from the wall, creating a subtle play of light and shadow that brings out its depth.

A classic, elegant shape, ideal for the entrances of villas, farmhouses and country homes. A plaque that does not age but changes over time, taking on the natural shades typical of CorTen.

• 2 mm oval plate in CorTen steel (weathering steel)
• Name, street or house name LASER cut at the top — the main line
• House number in the centre, between two cut-out horizontal lines
• Through-cut: the wall shows through the letters
• 2 steel spacers at the sides — included, for a floating effect with a shadow on the wall
• Natural oxidation patina: warm tones from honey brown to deep rust

ABOUT THE MATERIAL — CORTEN STEEL

CorTen is a special steel that develops a surface layer of oxide. The patina turns from its initial grey/orange to a warm brown within a few weeks, depending on exposure to moisture.

Objects made of CorTen steel naturally evolve in appearance over time. The rust-effect finish may vary in tone, intensity and evenness depending on exposure to the weather and on environmental conditions.

During the initial oxidation phase, and until the protective patina has fully stabilised, the material may release rust residue or stains on surfaces it touches (floors, walls, fabrics, etc.). We therefore recommend avoiding direct contact with delicate or absorbent surfaces during this period.

Every piece is unique in its appearance and in how its patina develops over time.

PRODUCTION TIME

Each piece is made to order: with the new finish within 1-2 working days, pre-rusted in 10-12 working days, including the time for the rust to form. Shipping time is added on top.
